Cozy spot known for gourmet burgers. Burger-centric counter serve dishing up handcrafted patties in quaint, colorful digs with a patio.
My husband said “…one of the best cheeseburgers ever.” And that’s his staple diet, the man knows a good burger. I had the chicken sandwich with no Mayo. It was a bit thin and dry but that’s what you get when you order chicken at a burger joint! The fresh cut fries were amazing. I would definitely go again but I would order a burger next time! We ate in the patio and even in July 2022 we’re reminding each guest to sanitize the tables inside and out before and after each use. I appreciate that attention to detail. They also served very quickly despite being extremely busy!
Each burger has its own personality. I got the olive burger and really dug the combination of Swiss cheese and olive sauce. The kids meals are a real deal, and certainly worth the cost. The tater tots were delicious and crispy, no soggy middle school tots here. The sodas were a local soda manufacturer with some interesting flavors. It is maybe a five minute walk from the downtown area, worth the trip.
This was a decent place to eat. I wasn’t super impressed though. The place was cute with nice outdoor seating. The staff was super nice and friendly! They were decently busy when we came, so we waited awhile for our food. My husband and I both had burgers and fries. Nothing special about them, just average.
GREAT FOOD all around and PET FRIENDLY! A seemingly small restaurant in a house but with big flavors. These are the types of burgers i LOVE, brown bag greasy burgers. I had the Slabtown special along with there home made fries and was not disappointed. They also serve locally brewed soda with free refills. My wife and I tried a little of all of them and they were all great! Parking is available on the two adjacent streets. You can either eat inside or outside where you can also dine with your four legged friends! Would eat again.
Took my family here while on a day trip to TC. All 5 of us said it’s our new favorite restaurant. The burgers are great. Sweet potato fries are crispy and portioned well with a really good dipping sauce. Tons of shake flavors! Awesome location and set up. Only thing they could use is a little more space to sit. Top notch. Definitely worth a visit.
This was a small place in an old house. Went here with a group of 13. Miraculously found seating for all of us. Went around 5 and found it very busy. You order at the counter. They put your order on a bag for each person. When everything is ready someone brings all the bags to you. We had a vegetarian with us. Everyone loved their dinner. I had a stuffed burger. Loved it. Definitely a hidden gem definitely recommend trying. There is only about 10 tables in the place.
The burger was REALLY good! The only reason I didn't give 5 stars is because if the bun had been warmed or slapped on the grill for a sec, that would have made the burger INCREDIBLE! French fries were awesome and the root beer was great! They offer a pretzel bun and standard bun. I had the regular bun. But customer service was awesome and the place was very clean.
Had a great lunch here while visiting Traverse City. Not exactly a cheap meal but the burgers are certainly worth it. I enjoyed their homemade root beer! The fries were just fine. Service was excellent and very friendly and helpful!
