Smoke and Porter Public House

We went during restaurant week, so it was not the normal menu. However - we both got a 3 course meal for $25 each! The food was great quality with beautiful presentation.

Very delicious smoked brisket! The German potato salad was delicious and not overly tart and the veggies are fresh. The bean were smoked with a strong smokey flavor. The house chicken n veggie soup was one of a kind! It was completely original for me and was absolutely delicious!

So, so very good. I wasn't even really that hungry when I walked in...then the smells hit you. Your stomach starts rumbling and suddenly you have just a lil to much saliva. It's mouth watering not even 3 steps in the front door. Kate behind the bar is an absolute pro, Abigail was on point at the entrance. I came in wanting a salad. I had a terrible decision to make between the Truffle Huffer Burger and the Smoked Beef Pastrami. The burger won out...and next time, I know to go slower. It was too good, it disappeared so quickly. Oh, and the waffle fries......perfect. Can't wait to come back!

A wonderful place that I took too long to visit! We had appetizers and dinner! The service was prompt and courteous. Food was stellar! Will become a regular spot!

Doesn't look like much from the outside as the garden in front is untended, but they have a vast variety of local wines, brews and pops/sodas. Furthmore, their food is outstanding!! My fiance and I got the burger and ribs... OMG they were delicious!!!

If your in Traverse City check out this BBQ restaurant. Wait staff was very friendly. Great beer and drink selection. Pork Rinds were amazing appetizer. I had pulled pork my wife the brisket both meats tasted great and the sides were awesome especially the smoked beans. Kids menu available and my kids loved mini burgers with waffle fries.

First time visit. Nice decor and atmosphere. The menu is small which is good and the choices were very nice. More than 1 vegan option was nice. We were a table of 6 so we got to try different dishes. Black bean burger was delicious for a meat eater it was 5 stars. Makhani curry was fantastic not too spicy which is par for the course in TC. Also ordered were a full plate of ribs fries and Caesar salad. All were good. The pulled pork with the Memphis sauce was great. The half chicken with the St Louis sauce was good. We also ordered an asparagus side dish as well as a potato side. Very good. Finished with turtle jubilee and cookies and cream Brule dessert. Another nice touch was the great service from Kurt. Highly recommend.

This place is amazing!! Fresh food, great drinks, awesome service. Highly recommend this place.
