24-hour, old-school diner with a jukebox. Always-open eatery at the SoHo Grand Hotel serving up revamped diner classics with vintage vibes.
The most amazing pancakes ever, and they happened to be vegan! I dined here alone on a Saturday morning, the host was really friendly and seated me at the bar. I had the pancakes and tea. Completely satisfied my pancake craving and the portion was very generous! Vegan pancakes can be really flat but these were so fluffy. Also, the maple syrup is actually “real” and so delicious!
Good service. This is not your classic diner feel. It’s definitely more upscale than that. The food was good, not terrible but also not the best I’ve ever eaten. It’s fine for a Sunday brunch spot. I would recommend the breakfast sandwiches! And very much avoid the grapefruit desert thing…unless you like grapefruit.
Lovely place with Eden lovelier food. The spinach and artichoke dip was filling but not overwhelmingly creamy. I enjoyed my steak but I had a bite of my friend’s burger and liked it more. The NY cheesecake which is made in-house was delectable. Most of all, service was amazing. An elevated diner experience!
Quintessential diner vibes, not diner prices. As long as you go knowing that, you’ll have a great time. The lighting, design and seating options are lovely. Varied menu options with a few vegan selections as well. A good variety of dessert options as well. Been twice and have had friendly staff and quick service both times.
Ate there twice. The environment is great look and feel however the food is mid. Average sandwich’s up charged with below average fries. The Pecan pie was good and Oat latte was below average. If you want a spot with great vibe and average food, this spot will suffice
The diner has a retro style like from the tv show Happy Days. The place has been well maintained and the food is good. Got their burger and steak. They do accept card payments and I made a reservation. Went on a weekend for dinner so it wasn’t to loud and crowded. It’s a good place for a special occasion.
I was visiting with a friend who flew into town, and he suggested having breakfast at the Soho Grand. I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of the food. The fried egg breakfast sandwich was delicious. It did take the wait staff a LONG time to come back over after they gave us a menu though. We had to flag someone down, and ask them if we could order our food. Once the food came, we were happy though.
Such a charming place in NYC , we had a lovely breakfast here, the pork sausage was fantastic and tasty. my husband enjoyed the Salmon with poached eggs, he said it was perfectly cooked and seasoned, The only reason it lost a star was that the cutlery was dirty and smudged with fingerprints and when we asked for it to be changed, the girl said yes sure but she didn’t change it, we had to ask for it to be changed again with another server who came to giver our breakfast, Over all I did have a pleasant experience.
