Rustic setting for creative Texan fare. This eatery serving Texas cuisine in a historic space also offers a second-story microbrewery.
Very nice restaurant and brewery. We visited here on a Saturday at around 5pm and there was no sitting available inside so they accommodated us outside on the patio. We had the frog legs, burger, fried chicken with a side of mac n cheese and the seafood salad. Everything was really good. For my personal taste the salad was a bit expensive ($27) for the seafood/lettuce ratio. But otherwise everything was great. The beers were delicious and brewed right there. Our server Stephon was super nice and made our visit pleasant and enjoyable.
What a great way to start our Sunday. The area was busy as a Farmers Market was underway but the wait wasn’t too bad. Gave us a chance to explore the vendors. Our server was amazing! Mason was so friendly and he took great care of us. Our food was delicious. We had the half order of oysters, the chicken and waffle and a side of crab Mac and jalapeño cheese grits. The food was delicious, the temperature was right on point and the atmosphere was inviting. I also have to mention the seats where we were seated. They were very comfortable. They also offer military discount which was an extra plus. Ask for Mason you won’t be disappointed.
The staff makes this place! They’re fun, knowledgeable and attentive. We had the oysters which were terrific, and I had the steak salad. The steak was a little chewy but nothing I’d send back. They only serve beer, wine and hard cider. The menu is mainly seafood so be ready. It’s a laid back crowd but there is a fine dining element to this spot. The decor is fantastic. Built in the 1890’s, the rustic feel has been maintained.
The name says it all! Fine food and brewery. Got a perfect table outside where we got to enjoy a couple of their flavorful classic beers with delicious food while onlooking eclectic group of people having an amazing time with their friends and family in the middle of the pearl plaza. We were also lucky to get Donna as our server as she not only recommended the finger-licking food but also took the time to share the history of the place and continued to check on us to make sure we had a great experience!
We have been here a few times over the last few years but this was the first time we tried brunch. It was fantastic. My wife and I shared the three egg breakfast and the steak and eggs. They were both great. We also had a mix of oysters. The oyster were some of the best we have had. Highly recommend this place for any meal time.
I was looking forward trying the restaurant's famous chicken and homemade biscuits and was greatly disappointed with the food. The fried chicken was very bland and the biscuits were stale and small. My mom order roasted quail and that was tasty at least. All the staff were very nice and professional. The restaurant was clean and beautifully decorated. However, our dining table was not in great shape. The table is made out of marble and had a crack in the middle of it. Unknowingly my mom slided her hand against the crack and nicked her palm. I assumed the staff was not aware of the damaged table, so before we left I mentioned it to our server. He said that management was aware of it but they didn't know it got worse. So, I believe the restaurant does not care for the safety of its customers. I hope they take care of that issue cause it's a safety hazard, especially for small children.
Loved it here. Great food and excellent customer service big shout to Mr. Larry (our server) at the time. Very attentive and good recommendation. We came in for a birthday meal for two. Good hostess with good guide of the restaurant and area. Highly recommend for tourist and visitors. One of the SA best places for family and couples. The Park at the Pearl. Historical and cultural of San Antonio. There is also a mini river walk for visitors and residents. ?
Ate here the other night. Corn bread was so good. Had some veggie options. Beets were delicious. My niece had the oysters and some raw meat with quail eggs. She liked it. The oysters were a bit small. Other than that everything was good. Waiter was good. They seem to always be out of those trout throats. Not sure why people would eat those but apparently meat eaters like them. Lol
