We were driving in the neighborhood and wife said “I want chicken fried steak!” So I found this on Google maps and we were pleasantly surprised. The chicken fried steaks were delicious and huge. The sides were excellent and the service was friendly and very prompt. I did not like the flies or the hair in our beer but overlooked that. Plenty of parking, plenty of seating and food was fast, hot and delicious. We will definitely come back with friends and family. Pros: Top notch chicken fried steak Draft beer Plenty of parking Plenty of seating Friendly service Kid friendly Cons: Flies Noisy patrons and customers (children running loose like wild animals) Hair in our beer
We came here for the first time on April 16th and had a late lunch. The food was really good, and the french fries were the best ever. The outdoor atmosphere was great. We will definitely come back and bring friends and relatives to enjoy.
Rode the Harley out for lunch. Ate on the covered patio. You know it's good when you're in the middle of nowhere and it's pretty packed. Service was fast and friendly. Food was so delicious and the sweet tea was refreshing. Not too sweet. Dog friendly is a bonus.
This is the neatest little place in the boonies, had the spicy spechts burger and it was amazing. Was not sure about the slaw being on it but it was really good. Can’t wait to try it out when there is live music! Oh and the service was great!
Old general store turned into bar/restaurant/beer garden. Very tasty brunch menu and crafted drinks. Live music in the covered patio made for a lovely Sunday brunch. A Hill Country hidden gem.
After living in the area for almost 8 years, we finally tried this place out. Took us way too long. Great food and we also love the atmosphere, especially the outdoor dining space.
Out in the country just around the corner from a main road and minutes from the city, this hidden gem is a must-visit and an ideal respite from the hustle of the city. I love everything about this place! The atmosphere is warm and welcoming. The staff is friendly and attentive. The food is delicious! The live music was amazing! Austin Burns (Generation Gap) played an incredible mix of old country, Texas country, pop, blues, and rock. I had the chicken fried steak with asparagus and green beans. The asparagus was grilled perfectly! No need to add salt or anything else. The green beans were great with bacon. The chicken fried steak was absolutely delicious!!! My friend had the guacamole burger and loved it too! Zero complaints and 100% praise! We plan to visit on a regular basis.
Great relaxed atmosphere with good food and good service. Country dining done right.
