The breakfast bagels are SO good at this place! I had the Egg Thee Scallion (amazing name haha), and everything about it was great. Sometimes bagel sandwiches can be a bit hit-or-miss, but this one was great. Soft enough to eat without making a mess, and the egg right in the middle. Perfection. Service was also great - fun group of people running the place. And the Churchill (where it’s located) is a really cool space. Definitely a good spot to come for lunch, and by the looks of it, dinner too. Will definitely be back many more times.
The burn burger was incredible! The tots were less than impressive (as crispy as they could be without being dark brown) I would’ve rated it 5 stars if it wasn’t for the customer service. We waited to order for close to 10 minutes to order - the two people working saw us and didn’t say hi, it’ll be a few minutes or anything. The area it’s in is very cute though and like I said I really really enjoyed the burger
Legit good burgers! Before 11am, they serve their sandwiches in bagels. They work up some magic with their bagel toasting skills because they get the inside super crispy, makes you think they added crispy hash browns in there or something. Either way, they serve up a reaaaaal good bagel sandwich in the mornings. We went back for lunch on another day and had their burger which was also amazing!
Stoop Kid is one of my favorite restaurants in the city, the service is amazing and speedy. I'm always greeted with a friendly smile and great great customer service. The food is delicious and I always get to try a new combination. Its very easy to tell that the food is made with love, and they always remember my name and my order. My favorite part is how delicious it is for how cheap it is. The other cool thing is that its located in the Churchill, just a great vibe and energy. All in all, great food, great service, great prices, and great vibes.
I had the Egg the Stallion (yes I’m a sucker for punny names). The bagel sandwich has gruyere, scallion cream cheese and honey ham with an egg and nicely toasted bagel. It is very tasty though not as beautiful as the picture but sooo good. The scallion cream cheese is just right
Honestly very bummed by multiple experiences at this place. The first time, my fiance and I went and ordered burgers he asked for his with no sauce and the person taking the order was very rude about it. I get that they don't want to do crazy custom orders but really? That's an extremely simple request to accommodate. My man ended up spending a few minutes scraping off the sauce which wasn't a great start. The buns were also too charred in my opinion, taking away from the flavor a lot. Second time just my fiance went by himself for lunch (which wasn't available on the day/time he went) and again, was met with rudeness and someone saying that lunch wasn't available yet with a bunch of unnecessary attitude. We both agreed that the service there has been subpar for a mediocre-at-best burger. I have weakness for a good burger and have tried many from all over the city. Honest opinion is that if you want a good burger from nice people that don't mind NOT putting sauce on there then try Lucky Boy burger in downtown or one of the other vendors at the Churchill. I'm writing this review because the experience did stick with me and we do like to support local, but frankly this ain't it, people. We won't be returning or recommending to anyone.
I wanted to like this place, sadly it left a bad taste in my mouth. I'm visiting Phoenix to see one of my grown kids. We went to Churchill and I heard the burgers were great so I placed an order on Stoop Kid. Their website says they make burgers. I clicked on the menus sub menu titled BURGERS thinking I was ordering a burger. Sadly it's very misleading. What you are ordering is a grilled cheese that you can add a burger patty to for an additional $2. This would be find of the menu said add a burger to your grilled cheese, but the menu TITLE says burgers. There for I thought I was ordering a burger, not the case at all. What made it worse is the menu doesn't tell you are ordering a grilled cheese and that you need to select a patty, it says the burger patties are add ons. With a menu header of burger, one thinks that adding a patty is adding an additional patty. Not turning a grilled cheese into a burger. The menu is very misleading and not amusing. To add insult to injury, I would have just added a patty if the service hadn't been awful. The workers looked at me like I had 10 heads as if anyone should know they are ordering a grilled cheese and must add a burger patty.. save for the fact that the place I'd marketed as being a burger place and the menu header says BURGERS. I handed my item back and because the ladies were rude I opted for a refund, which has no yet been processed to my card. I'd like someone to tell me why the menu header says I'm ordering a burger if it's really a grilled cheese I can opt to add a patty to???
To start, everything at Stoop Kid is amazing! Their burgers are so juicy and flavorful. The potato chips are insanely good and always perfectly crispy. However, my absolute favorite thing to get is the Egg Thee Scallion bagel! It is ridiculously good, to the point I was getting it almost every Saturday; it’s that addicting.
