Sleek eatery for ramen & rice bowls. Ramen restaurant with an industrial-chic design offering several toppings, plus rice bowls.
Ramen - 5/5 - spicy broth was lightly spicy, very thick and creamy. The noodles had a slightly thick feel to it. The ground pork was very flavorful. Ordered extra pork belly for $3 Chicken karage 5/5 - perfectly fried. The meat was tender and juicy. Battery was crispy. Service 5/5 - everyone was super polite and service was quick. My only "complaint" is I'd rather not order and pay as I enter the store, but that's a preference. It forces you to tip before you've eaten, tasted the food, or actually gotten service.
Decent and authentic flavors with terrific price. Feel a bit bad about the neighborhood- kinda surrounded by homeless... Ramen's broth balance is perfect- not too salty. The pork was very well done. To have with a small hot sake on this overcast new year's eve- gorgeous! Would definitely come back again. ? Ohh customer service was great - friendly and chill ?
Good place for a nice bowl of ramen. The broth is rich, flavourful and on point. The noodles are firm and tangy too. I like the pork meat, there's fat on it and that elevated the taste. There are also others staple side dishes available, similar to other ramen stalls. I like the gyoza and karaage. Both dishes are pan fried and fried respectively to perfection. Area is also conveniently located. Thumbs up!
Solid ramen. More cafeteria style than full service, order at the bar and grab a table. Food came out pretty fast and was super delicious. Full bar, some wine, and a decent beer list with local stuff. Fried chicken was excellent and a great appetizer to share. Gyoza is good and comes with 6 pieces. Fried rice is good, the pork belly is fantastic, lots of flavor. Spicey sesame was fantastic! Would definitely order again. Great broth with an excellent texture, lots of flavor and depth. The right amount of spicy. The noodles were great as well. Good sized portion. We will definitely be back.
Savory ramen spot in downtown San Diego that serves small bites, poke, and both classic and unique takes on ramen. My personal favorite is their Mexican fusion carnitas ramen. Plus don’t miss happy hour for discounts on appetizers.
Not only was the atmosphere lovely, the staff were friendly, and the food absolutely phenomenal. I ate the entire bowl full. The creamy chicken ramen was delicious!
This spot hit the spot for vegan/vegetarian ramen! It's hard coming by delicious non-pork/beef/chicken options for ramen sometimes and I'm so glad the other place I wanted to go to was closed. My Lyft driver suggests Tajima and it did not disappoint! The ramen broth is so flavorful it felt like a meat broth. The noodles weren't over cooked, the tofu was perfectly crispy, and the eggs . I went two nights in a row :)
We came here for lunch because we saw it had good reviews and I'm a big fan of tonkotsu ramen. My husband and I both got the Tajima Ramen, which is a tonkotsu broth, and we both got it with the pork belly. My son got gyoza and chicken fried rice. Everything was delicious. The broth on the ramen is comfortably the best I've had in California so far and the pork belly was lovely. Very satisfying. Wish I had more time to try each ramen, but just here on a short visit.
