Peruvian food in a contemporary setting. Inventive Peruvian fare served in a stylish Peru-inspired space; known for its pisco sour cocktail.
The service and the ambiance is good however the quality of foods have gone down since pandemic… the new sushi nikkei menu is not that great! Sushi rice is mushy… flavor is not balanced…the main dish squid ink stir fry is too salty… drinks are average…the only thing good we had was the yucca fries… overall it is alright…compared to 3 years ago, you would wonder what happened to this restaurant! Such an empty scenery on a Friday night! Hire a better chef please!
So this is going to be one of those reviews that throws things a little off, in that case look back at my history and evaluate my tastes. In general the ambulance was good and the service was excellent. This review is purely based on the food and its taste. I must say that drinks are great and the presentation is pretty nice. I got the scallops for starters and thought it tasted "too fishy"? If that makes sense. It was ~30$ for two, and we couldn't finish it because of the taste. Our entrees were not presented amazingly, but they both had a weird bitter aftertaste that ruined the flavors. Perhaps we're just not that into Peruvian food, but we're pretty adventurous and this just wasn't it for us. Sorry. ??
We had a lovely Valentine’s Day dinner here and had the set course for two. As soon as we arrived, we were greeted and quickly seated with our drink orders taken at the same time. They seemed to have the entire night seamlessly planned out as each dish was brought out timely as soon as we were finished with the one before. Highlights were the salmon and the dessert that literally felt like 10 different desserts packed into the shape of rose. Our waitress was very nice and made the dining experience enjoyable. Will definitely be back to try their regular menu.
We had never had Peruvian food. Amazed with the flavors, dishes, and new ingredients - even the cocktails and beers. Took our kids and they absolutely enjoyed. This restaurant has traditional Peruvian as well as some Japanese (nekkei) and thus a few items that are a fusion of Peruvian and Japanese so if your party is undecided on culinary type this is a great option. Service was amazing too and they spent time answering our questions. Absolutely would go back!!!!
If you’re looking for a tapas style restaurant with vibrant flavors and blended cuisine, look no further than Tanta. Combining Peruvian and Asian flavors across their dishes, Tanta provides you with a bite sized journey across the globe. Great for grabbing a bite to eat with your friends or even larger parties. Everything we ordered was cooked perfectly, the flavors perfectly complementing each other. 10/10 would recommend visiting Tanta for drinks and a meal!
I had a lovely time at Tanta for a work dinner! The food was delicious and so were the drinks and dessert. The staff was also incredibly nice and helped us make decisions on what was best. I'd recommend the scallops, octopus, and the pork fried rice. Some dishes were cold when we expected warm so maybe ask if you're unsure (not a problem, just a surprise). Definitely pricey but I'd say worth it! The pork fried rice also heated up incredibly well the next day even with the egg and shrimp in it. The restrooms were down a long flight of stairs and I'm not sure if there is an elevator to make them more accessible.
Visit Recommended It's my first attempt at Peruvian food and I had no disappointment. Flavours were jumping everywhere in mouth. I had uncooked fish for the first time and I didn't die. Lol. All the offerings were unique with generous portions. The meals are a bit pricey but won't put a hole in your purse, sure you can treat yourself once in a while. I definitely will be back here on my next trip. Can't wait. :)
Every single morsel of food here was mouth watering. From the pork, to the beef, to the chicken - even the RICE - it was all worth every penny. The wait staff didn't let our drinks go empty or fail to deliver in any way. Truly a superb dining experience.
