Pan-Asian restaurant with a trendy crowd. This enormous Pan-Asian restaurant is known for a giant Quan Yin statue & trendy crowd.
I have been to Tao in las Vegas so I wanted to see if Hollywood gave me the same experience. I will say the atmosphere is amazing. The music is loud enough for you to enjoy it but quiet enough for you to have a conversation across the table with your friends and not have to yell. The service was sketchy at times which is why I only gave the restaurant 4 stars. The food was amazing. I had the fried snapper which is more like snapper nuggets tucked inside the body of the fish (the presentation is amazing). I also had the lobster fried rice which was really good and had enough lobster for me not to complain. The Brussels were disappointing. I expected crispy (even asked them to make them crispier) and they were still pretty soggy and hard to chew. The drinks were really good also. I would recommend you at least try this place out. Make a reservation because every table was full and you shouldn't be disappointed.
Went there with family for my father’s 70th birthday celebration (also was my 1st time in LA). Really cool atmosphere with a trendy crowd. Food was Asian fusion and tasty. Be aware that some appetizer plates are quite expensive for just one small piece of meat (but that’s to be expected in this level of restaurant). Overall father had a great birthday experience fr and we enjoyed a great meal with a high quality of service. This is a good place to go for an exclusive experience.
Great drink menu. The fried rice was dry and didn't have much flavor. The sea bass was my favorite, probably of all time. It is too dark for me inside, yet romantic but not my lighting type. Younger crowd, very busy night. This is where the cool people hang out.. Made me wonder if I was cool?...
It’s important to have a reservation. The restaurant is all inside with very low light and Asian atmosphere. Food Was Amazing, especially the sea bass. The staff was great, they recommend that you share plates for a better experience.
I came to this restaurant to celebrate my friends birthday and I was really impressed at the service we received. The waitress was very attentive and the food was really good. We ordered the black pepper chilly chicken, Hong Kong fried noodles, and Oysters. It was delicious. I would definitely come again.
I went to Tao for my birthday dinner celebration with my family and had a WONDERFUL time. If you've never been to any Tao location you're in for quite a surprise when you walk in and see how large and gorgeous the restaurant is. It's decor is absolutely stunning. I requested a booth because loved the look of it with the lights overhead and was accommodated with no issue. Our waitress was absolutely wonderful and really made out meal even better because she was so kind and funny. All of the food was delectable; I especially enjoyed all of the dim sum options. My family is full of people with different tastes and there was something we each loved and enjoyed all of it. My parents had also arranged with the restaurant to bring me a giant birthday platter with a huge fortune cookie to celebrate and it was all delicious and fantastic. I don't want to spoil anything but make sure you read your fortune from your cookie in the end! I really loved Tao and I'll be back to this one and the one in NYC soon!
Fantastic Restaurant! Amazing food! Soo yum! Great service! Pricey but worth it! Amazing decor and atmosphere! Super busy so reservation is a must! Highly recommend this place!!!
The food was pricey but great! I had the triple pork fried rice, edamame and some strawberry fizzy alcoholic drink that made the start of my two day trip worth it!! Please go just make sure you make reservations!!! But the ambiance and the music selection was really the perfect combo!
