The Grey Hen Rx at Century Grand

O. M. G. This place! Out of the three concepts here, this was not even on my radar. My mistake! I threw together a last minute birthday party, and really wanted to get a reservation at Undertow, but because of my poor planning, my birthday was even better than I could have thought it would be. The only bar available for my party of 10 was the Grey Hen so I went to test it out and promptly made the reservation. The host made it easy and our bartender, I believe his name is Alec, was a real gem! We rented out half of the bar, and with 10 people it was a little tight but it was nice because everyone could mingle and chat. The bartender is seriously amazing. The drinks are a little intimidating at first with strange ingredients, and mixtures, but it is apothecary themed, so buckle up! My recommendation is to talk to the bartender about what you like and don't like, because he will know exactly what ails you and how to fix it! My group ordered nearly every drink on the menu and many were delightful little palate parties! If you like an adventure and a little mystery, you cannot go wrong here! I'm so glad I had the opportunity to finally try this place! Thank you! You made my birthday unforgettable and it was a real hit with everyone!

What fun! A really amazing selection of cocktails with friendly knowledgeable staff. Strongly recommend a visit. There are three very different lounges within the one venue and we look forward to trying the others.

I had high expectations for Grey Hen. The reviews and pictures made me excited to come here. We had a reservation for 8:30pm and we were seated promptly. I was disappointed to be seated at a small table outside of the actual bar area! Maybe I didn't read the fine print, but definitely not what I expected. The ambience was still awesome though. It had outdoor vibes with cricket sounds, mist/smoke blowing from time to time etc. The reservation covers your first round of drinks which is nice. The drinks here are great like you'd expect at a place like this. This is the type of place I would bring buddies that come into town if we go out for a drink. Keep in mind, I'm married and my wife doesn't drink, so no other reason for me to come. ? If you're single, I could see this being a great place to bring a date for drinks after dinner (no food here), or as a place to grab some drinks before heading out with friends.

Step into this New Orleans inspired apothecary style bar and you will instantly be transported. If you love bourbons and whiskeys, you'd think you'd have died and gone to heaven. Anything you could want, they have. The drinks were superb. The service, impeccable. The ambiance, sublime. This is a must try bar if you are in the Phoenix area. Also, be sure to look up when you sit at the bar.

Love this place. They have the service down pat. You really need a reservation but it’s easy to make now online just don’t cancel last minute. All of their drinks are fantastic. I love coming here. The bartenders really take their time and know what they are doing.

Met some friends here one evening and had a blast. It’s a great place with a huge bourbon and whiskey selection. Can get just about any drink you want made or poured neat. Also offered samples before just trying as some are a bit pricey as all places are. Bradford was an exceptional bar tender and helped us learn and try new items all night. It’s not going to be a cheap night but if you want to get away and enjoy yourself with friends, would recommend checking this place out.

Yo! This place was so AWESOME!!!! I had 2 drinks and that was my max. And they were really really good. I tried the Aphrodite and the Gripes. So yummm. I have to go back to try more of the drinks. I love the little foot notes under some of the drinks. And the bartender was a work of art to watch. Such an amazing experience. 10/10 recommend!

My bartender for the night, Freddy, is always so amazing and takes such great care of my friend and I. I met Alec, Steve and and new member of the team, Courtney "CornDog", during this occasion, who is an absolute doll. The team of bartenders and staff at this place are such wonderful and talented humans, in and out of the service world.
