Well let's say yesterday West Gate was really dead before 5:00 p.m on Saturday I was surprised so many places have closed down or under construction. Lola was actually the only restaurant really doing business. I've been here once before with a crowd for a brunch event. This time we just sat, had a few beers outside and then went inside to a cooler area. The atmosphere inside is nothing special. The chairs are sunken in, raggedy and uncomfortable. The service is very good thank you kudos. Since we were there for a while we decided to order salads. I ordered the avocado salad with shrimp. He ordered the chicken Caesar. The salads were delicious the only issue that we both had was the excessive salad dressing. The salad dressing was so excessive that it drowned the vegetables in the salad. I love salad so I like to taste my vegetables. Manager please encourage whoever is making the salads to pay close attention to how much salad dressing they apply to the salad before sending it out. Not just assume that everyone loves salad dressing because they don't.
The chefs board was very good! The pineapple and watermelon drinks would absolutely get again. The ceviche didn’t have much heat but was good overall. The toast. The bacon and egg, apple and Brie and fig and prosciutto were very good!!! The mozzarella and basil and Gatsby(salmon) were not great. Good service and good food overall!
The drinks were amazing! The pretzel bread and dip was good. Chicken and waffle was decent but then damn wings was the “TRUTH”! The pineapple drink was in between good and not so good, the coconut drink was delicious! I have them a 5 star b/c the DJ was everything!
I had so much fun at this spot. It was Sunday Brunch and the place was hoppin! The fruit cocktails were SO GOOD and yes you can detect the booze in them. They were worth the price. We also tried the chicken fried steak and a chicken sandwich. All was delish. I'm going back. You should too!
Went for brunch, no wait time staff was great and attentive. Did get two different drinks in fruit, the Watermelon one was not tasty at all, not the best cocktail. However the food had a great presentation and the wide selection was tasty. The Double Stuffed Oreo's were the overall favorite.
The food was pretty good. I had the breakfast burrito, it was good but not great, it had a bit of a “smoky” taste, I probably wouldn’t get it again. The chicken and waffles had too much rosemary and I wouldn’t recommend. There are a lot of French toast options and they’re good. The mimosa flights are ok but they didn’t have kiwi for the kiwi mimosa and they put an orange on the mango one. The atmosphere is a ok and the service was really good. I went around 10am on a Monday so it wasn’t busy at all. Overall it was ok but not my favorite.
This place is really awesome. We had the toast plates, fries and bottomless mimosas and it was all AMAZING. I was shocked 3 pieces of toast filled me the way it did. I highly recommend this spot. The servers were nice and attentive.
This place is soo cute but service was slow especially for a non-busy weekday. Happy to see somewhat healthy brunch options. A little pricey but would come back. Pregnant so I had a virgin mojito and it’s was fire ? (so damn good). If you’re visiting the area I would recommend.
