Upscale pub, decent beer and wine list, with an "upgraded" bar food menu to boot. The humus was large with good grilled veggie. The octopus cooked to perfection served with a delicious bed of red beans. Caesar salad with grilled shrimps was quite good with surprised deep fried croutons. Both options of burgers were good. Service was good. Did not have to wait for our food. Servers were friendly and helpful. We would stop in again when we are in the area.
This was our first time here and it was amazing. We went mid-afternoon with no wait time to get in. The bartender was quick with the cocktails and each one was perfect. The waitress and staff were friendly and gave good recommendations. The food was DELICIOUS. It’s easily a 5-star but I gave 4 because the eggs were overdone. Highly recommended for anyone visiting the area and the locals. It’s in a perfect location.
Went during sips (menu posted). The food was good - we got the calamari and cheese curds. The Cucumber Melon Cooler cocktail seemed fresh and light. I’m not sure I’d order the drink again just based on personal preferences. I’d be interested to return and try the regular menu.
The Mulberry is a fun upscale pub in center city Philadelphia. I ordered the refreshing Cucumber Melon Cooler that was featured for Happy Hour. That was delicious with the crispy cauliflower. I liked the atmosphere, drinks, and food!
My girlfriend and I love it here. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming, the service is excellent, and both the food and drinks are delicious. I had a salmon BLT, which was delicious to say the least. Well done. I intend to come back. If you’re in center city give the Mulberry a visit.
Went there for a few drinks with friends, no wait time on Friday night. Staff was nice and attentive. Atmosphere was quite and classy, and the drinks were simply delicious and pleasant to look at. Tried some of their snacks and they came with great portions. Wanted to try the octopus but it was sold out at the moment. Friends LOVED the Negroni, highly recommend it if you love the smoky taste as well.
Mulberry We had heard all these great things about mulberry and decided to give it a shot. Reviews looked great, the IG posts, etc. Luckily for us, we got in for restaurant week, so the damage to my wallet wasn't that bad. We started with the mushroom confit gnocchi. This is where the evening started downhill. The gnocchi was ice cold. Not lukewarm and barely edible. A dish like that needs to be hot, or it will lock up and be a congealed mess—0 for 1. My wife chose the filet, and I went with the lamb. To say my lamb was undercooked is an understatement, at the very least. I'm not sure it saw any heat at all. Raw and deep red. What was interesting was that the server and manager both commented how rare it was (and inedible), and neither offered to take it off the bill or refire another plate. Some soggy lattice-looking potatoes under the lamb, which was very unpleasant to eat. Why may you ask, I didn't ask to have it refired; let me explain. The kitchen was 0 for four, and the odds were not in my favor that the 5th try would be the magic one. There could not have been anyone checking the dishes as they were going out as nothing was hot, let alone cooked well. My wife's filet was overcooked as I tried some since I had no entree. The mashed potatoes were, you guessed it, cold. At this point, we were done. The server did comp me my first drink, which ironically was the only good thing I consumed all evening. The creme brulee was bruleed a bit much and burnt. 0 for 6. What a disappointment.
Stopped by The Mulberry for a Saturday lunch as we were passing by. I ordered the Abruzzo Pepperoni pizza while my girlfriend ordered the SmashBurger with fries. To wash it down we both ordered their Downeast Blackberry Cider. The interior of The Mulberry is as advertised - an upscale pub. The food was tasty and came out in a timely manner and the service was decent. Will probably return to check out the dinner menu at a later date.
