Relaxed restaurant/bar with a terrace. Modern American fare served in a casual eatery with a terrace, a bar & happy hour specials.
This was my first time here, the service was fast and the food tasted good. There is a lot to choose from, there was a lot of variety on the menu. If you’d like to try smaller portions, they have a happy hour. The tables were clean and our drinks were always refilled, the staff was kind to us and we had no trouble with our meal. It wasn’t busy at all during the weekday and there were plenty of tables to choose from.
My partner and I were in town for a wedding and stumbled upon The Nash for a quick lunch. The service was attentive, friendly and helpful, cocktails were great and the food was fabulous, especially the egg appetizer!! I can't recommend the eggs enough, I wish I could eat them every day! We ended up leaving our credit card in the booklet and didn't realize it until we'd left the city, but we called and the staff was so nice and are actually going to mail the card to our house. This restaurant is a 10/10 across the board!
If you in Houston must visit The Nash. In evening booking needed very busy and hot in town. Thank you chef for amazing cooking. Must try devils egg in appetizer, mushroom risotto as side and fresh salad. They got herbal tea selection and the best wine. The bartender was very charming and welcoming person. Love to visit again.
Well, perfect food, but the evening started bad. We ordered a place to 37 people, kids and parents and coaches, on a friday night, planning to give them letters from home. The restaurant seperated us to 2 places inside, and after talking and arguing, the manager managed to give us a whole place for the team. From this point untill the end of the evening everything was perfect! The waiters were kind and the service was fast and proffesional. The dishes are big and tasty. Recommend it for small groups.
Nice ambience. Great location downtown. Blend of high class and low brow food. $$$$ steaks or $16 Nash burger...which was perfect! Other unusual is tater tot bowl with green goddess dressing and light sprinkle of cheese...coulda been warmer. 'The Nash' cocktail is good Texas whiskey and sweet vermouth...and recommended.
Came for happy hour and got the wild mushroom toast, lamp lollipops, and margherita pizza. For drinks, got the old fashioned and the prickly rose cocktails. Everything had so much flavor and wash delicious. The drinks were beautiful as well. Love that their happy hour is longer from 5-6:30
We tried the Restaurant Week menu at the Nash. Food's OK. Filet Mignon not as good as Brennan's or BB Butcher's. The Yellow Fin Crudo was nice. Lemon Olive Oil cake was too dense, more like bread pudding. Free street parking in front of the restaurant after 6PM Saturday. Restaurant mostly empty on Saturday night. Outside seating can be noisy from traffic.
The atmosphere at this restaurant is very nice and cozy. The owner stopped by to introduce herself, which was kind of her. I ate and enjoyed the mussels and the salmon. The tater tots were not remarkable, and the lemon cake dessert was not my favorite. The service wasn't bad. All in all, I had a good experience. However, for the high price point there are other restaurants that I think offer a better value.
