Hip bar & grill with a cocktail menu. Trendy grill eatery for craft beers, cocktails & elevated bar bites in an industrial-chic setting.
Everything started off great until our waiter had more tables than she could handle and forgot about us. Tables that came in after us placed entree orders and had their food before us. Food was good! Shrimp was spicy ? and cornbread was ?. My entree of the rotisserie chicken and mash came out COLD. Returned and came back much better. Salmon was good and even tried their in-house made flavored beer ??
Great restaurant. Good vibe. Blueberry pineapple drink was very tangy and delicious. The lobster deviled eggs were exceptional. They were smooth and delicious. The cornbread was to die for a came in .Blueberry pineapple drink was very tangy and delicious. The lobster deviled eggs were exceptional. They were smooth and delicious. The cornbread was to die for and came in its own little skillet. The chicken pot pie was very good, but the prime rib was excellent. It was cooked to perfection, and it was served with mashed potatoes that were not fancy, but were actually real mashed potatoes no garlic and fusion. No chives just good old-fashioned mashed potatoes I will come back here anytime
The Perch has lovely outdoor seating. We were in the beer garden. We saw lots of cute dogs, so I assume dogs are allowed in the outdoor seating areas. The food was very good, we had the shrimp, spinach dip, brussel sprout salad, and steak frites. But above all, I was really impressed with the service. The waitress was very helpful with selecting drinks and when we had an issue with our food, it was resolved and recooked immediately. I was really pleased with the speed we got our food for how good it was. This is the perfect spot to visit for some relaxing, casual dining. Edit: The issue we had with our food was that there was a little strip of plastic in the steak. The steak was very kindly and quickly replaced but we took it to-go. When we heated it up at home, we discovered there was another piece of plastic. Not sure where this plastic is possibly coming from or how it was in the steak both times. The food itself was good and again, the service was top notch. But I'm a little concerned about where the strips of plastic are coming from. (Looking back, you can kind of see it in my photo of the steak, near the bottom right on top of the meat and under the sauce)
Went on a Sunday with about 15 people. It was pretty busy so the kitchen was probably slammed. We also ordered a lot of food. About half of our food arrived cold, we had to send 2 dishes back because it was wrong. My friends had raved about the sliders so we ordered 4 orders of it. It was VERY well done. The shrimp was really good. I liked the blueberry cornbread too. I did not like what I had, which was the brisket hash.
I went to the perch on June 28 with my sister. Our first waiter seemed like he couldn’t be bothered when he brought our menus then just left us without returning. A little while later Tim A. came to our table and introduced himself as our server complaining he wasn’t sure what happened to the other waiter. He was awesome! Very attentive and informative. For appetizers I had the corn bread and my sister had the spinach and artichoke dip. The cornbread was really good and moist. The dip was pretty good as well. For the main course I had the steak frites and my sister had the rotisserie chicken. Neither of us liked our meals. I personally wouldn’t go back because the food wasn’t too good but I appreciate Tim’s service.
Beautiful indoor/outdoor seating options. Came for brunch and loved that there are many types of dishes to choose from! Really loved my main dish and side; feel comfortable coming back in warm and/or cold weather! Pictured: Turkey Burger w/ Rotisserie Cauliflower
Came here on a Tuesday afternoon while waiting for some other places to open. The interior is gorgeous and large, and the staff did a good job cleaning between patrons. The food was decent, we got the chicken dip and the tuna salad. We didn’t try any of the beers, but there’s an interesting selection and they make some in house. All in all not a bad experience.
In the top 5 best meals I've ever eaten in Chicago. The Salmon and smokey asparagus with grilled lemon and Green Goddess dressing was so fresh and delicious! I ordered the strip steak salad. The salad had warm fried potatoes and mushrooms in it, and was an explosion of flavors with each bite. How unique! The NY strip was cooked to perfection and you could cut it with a butter knife it was so tender. Our server Nick was Five stars as well! And the Purple Rain cocktail was delicious!
