Stylish, cheery Italian restaurant & bar. Trendy Italian eatery serving pasta, pizzas & family-style mains in airy digs with a patio & bar.
The food, ambiance and service were absolutely perfect. Antonio was our server and he was super attentive and helpful. The food was perfection. Even our kids enjoyed it! We started with the Fresh Mozarella and ordered pizza for the kids. My husband had the Lasagna and I ordered the Smoked Gouda Radiatore. Everything was delicious! The kitchen is an open concept and there is ample seating inside and out. The patio is right on the River Walk and a great spot to enjoy a meal or drink.
We went for restaurant week and enjoyed our experience overall. The good: friendly staff, interesting Italian salad, herb chicken was AMAZING. And the Nutella dessert was decadently impressive. Also, great value for restaurant week. The not-as-good: The salad was very slow to come out, the bisque was lukewarm, and the trout was rather disappointing (looked like a pancake, no sides, and over-salted or something...?). If the review were based on my food alone, it would be 5* and if it were based on my friend's, it would be 3*, so I'm doing a 4*.
Tasty food and a beautiful location! I ordered the lasagna and was not disappointed. It was piping hot and the bread was good too. I also got the lemon flavored Italian soda. My waiter was very friendly and helped me pick the lasagna. Light music plays and the vibes are nice.
Great place for small bites after tour the museum and river walk. The hand pulled mozzarella and toast was fantastic and I would go here just for the Nutella dessert. It’s honestly one of my favorite desserts ever. The spot was gorgeous great for night or day time visits. That being said the entrees did not wow me. I had the radiatore and the Gorgonzola sauce was overwhelming. I couldn’t finish it. My husband got the mushroom risotto which was better but I think the rice was under. I would like to try the pizza next time and more dessert.
Tre has lost its touch during our most recent visit. The service from the moment we arrived was not welcoming, the host or the manager (I hope not) was short and came off rude from the start. I had taken my girlfriend for the first time raving to her of the food, view, and service only to have felt extremely embarrassed. The bolognese as always is the go to dish, it’s awesome. The pizza was so so, the crust was very hard but the flavor of the Bianca was nice. The mozzarella was delicious, a nice starter. All in all an okay experience, but for the price and as a product of the Dady brand I unfortunately would not return. Maybe if I needed a quick drink, the booze is always consistent.
So… they do listen, the Burrata was impressive unlike what it used to be wit it’s candies tomatoes, pumpkin seeds and basil olive oil. The “Italian” Sammy was yummy… as long as you like pesto (the fusilli pasta that comes with it is supposed to be cold). The Gnocchi was delicious, but quite heavy with its walnuts, pancetta and cream; expect to share or take some home. Don’t order the espresso - $4.00 a shot ?. Service was good, thought a tad slow. Overall we really enjoyed the atmosphere, the food and the experience - sit outside if you can. Reservations are highly recommended; the place is on the river “behind” the Museum of Art - go through the museum and take the door on the right into the patio. The entrance is on the left of the place.
Great location in the upper riverwalk. Nice patio sitting area and 2 different rooms inside in the A/C. The room we sat in was located next to the kitchen… they must have a venting issue. All the smoke from the kitchen stayed in the building. Everyone’s eyes were burning by the end of the night. Service was great. Food was good. We ordered the mozzarella and artichoke apps, bolognese, and spicy pepperoni pizza. Cokes are per can. No refills. We would return for dinner again.
Wow! Absolutely incredible food! We were amazed by the artichoke appetizer, the Caesar and house salads, the fresh bread with oil, the bolognese, and the pasta with pine nuts and basil and tomatoes—I forgot the name. Also, you MUST try the Nutella x 3. Forgive the name, it doesn’t do it justice!!! Wow. Incredible. Doc was our waiter and we loved him!
