Upscale Indian & Nepalese eatery. High-end restaurant & takeaway serving Indian & Nepalese specialties, plus cocktails.
Vajra has the best South Asian food I’ve ever tasted. Whenever my husband and I return from a trip, we love to indulge in an order of korma, saag and biryani. It is truly next level and I’m so glad they reopened. When they start dine-in, we will be there.
Ordered via UberEats. The food was good, but considering other reviews I was expecting more. The lamb rogan josh I ordered wasn't really tender and had too much fat. The potato lentil appetizer was my favorite, and the onion Chickpea flour appetizer was good too. The garlic Naan was delicious but a little dry as it was garlic only no butter. And per order you only get one piece. This type of restaurant is best with a group for more value.
I was nervous about delivery after reading several reviews of it not working out. Luckily it did for us but unfortunately items were missing in the order and it did take 2 hours from the time I ordered for the order to arrive. We didn't receive our naan our dessert. I called the restaurant and they were able to refund me, no questions asked, within minutes. I appreciate the customer service. As for the food, the cashew tikka masala with chicken was delicious. The mushroom masala wasn't my favorite. I found the pieces of mushroom too large and the flavor of masalas was a bit overwhelming. Hoping they open back up soon for in person dining, I'm sure the in person experience would be better.
I am so glad Vajra decided to make a comeback. Tbh, the best Indian food I have had in a very long time here in the city. Ordered their Pahari goat curry and makhmali aaloo curry. The latter was insanely good. Makhmali, it is! The goat curry tasted awesome with white rice that was flavorful and fragrant. Not a fan of their butter naan...then again, they did suggest having the goat curry with rice. And their gajar halwa wasn't the cloying sweet you would expect of this dessert typically made with condensed milk. It was light and pretty good. Yup, mighty thrilled Vajra's back.
All their CURRIES are very good!! BUTT the samosa must be sourced from outside .. because it is extremely salty .. Saltier than chips, saltier than mcdonalds fries ... it is pure salt ...i threw it out ... I please ask the chef to try the chicken samosa because I know he wouldn't serve that to people if he knew how salty it was... try your samosa you will be shocked
One of my favorite Indian restaurant. The food has an authentic Indian taste and not spicy but flavors are great. The ambience is good. The cocktails list is small but good drinks. The food here have authentic flavors to it.
Went here with a friend who is kind of snobby about Indian food and we were both BLOWN AWAY. Every single thing we ordered was so incredibly unique and flavorful and so well priced. I highly recommend the Tandoori Paneer and the Samosa Chaat, and the gruyere naan was the best thing I’ve eaten in a long time. The Pistachio Paan Kulfi was amazing too! Highly recommend this place and will definitely be returning!!!
My friends and I went here for brunch this past Sunday. One of my friends is Nepali so we wanted to see if we were getting an authentic experience. While not on the menu, we special requested MoMo since I had never tried them. The kitchen put them in for us and in about 15 they were out. So delicious and my Nepali friend said the sauce was spot on. We also shared the goat skewers, chicken dum biryani, and some garlic naan with tea. While the bulk of the menu focused moreso on Indian cuisine at least for brunch, the service and ambiance was great ??
