Urban cafe making creative sandwiches. Intimate urban sandwich bar serving hearty subs, brunches & salads, plus outdoor seating.
Had to give this place a shot. They use a cherry mayo that just works so well with the whole cheesesteak. The meat was good. The truffle cheese was excellent. It seems you can only order online through the many QR codes they have up in the shop. Inside is a little small but looks nice with the decor that they have up. I didn’t wait too long for my food but also didn’t get it a few seconds after I ordered. Which is good so I know that it’s fresh. I would definitely rank this one amongst the top 5 cheesesteak places in Philly if that’s what you’re looking for
This was a different cheesesteak experience than I was used to. There is a truffle flavor to the beef which definitely makes it taste unique and more "expensive" which this place is. It's a bit more expensive than the competition but is very good. Rivals John's roast pork for me. The Cajun fries were also quite good.
The Philly Cheesesteaks were fabulous. And huge. We ordered two for the 3 of us (because you can’t order a half sandwich) and it was more than enough. They make their own cheese sauce, so apparently (hopefully!) it’s not just Velveeta! The steak is chopped not shaved. The French fries were amazing. They have a very nice selection of soft drinks both common and off beat. The restaurant is small but they had seating for us (3) no problem.
We tried for Geno's but it was so packed and no parking. We ended up coming here and parked right in front of the door. When dining in, You're greeted with a QR code at the table and order right from your phone. So I guess it's kinda harder for older people to order. The cheese steak was AMAZING. The cheese is what makes the entire sandwich, I just wish there was more cheese. I was afraid the fries would be soggy because of how thick they are but they were cooked PERFECTLY. Not a soggy one in the bunch. They would be amazing with the cheese on them too. I am so glad we were able to eat here. They have WAY more than just cheese steaks, next time I would try the Cubano.
We were looking for someplace to eat on the way to the airport. I had the meatball sandwich which was really good. My husband had the cheese steak which had truffle wiz on it. He hates truffles but on the advice of the gentleman at the shop he had us sample it. It was really good. My husband ended up enjoying the sandwich with the truffle wiz. The fries were very good. You can order ahead for pick up. If you dine in you scan the QR code on the table, order and pay all through your phone. Then they deliver right to your table. The food was good, and the people were nice. I would recommend this place.
I'm comparing this place to Little Sicily Pizza 2. Meat portion, in my opinion, fantastic. Bread was soft and not too overwhelming. Cheese, on the other hand, I'm not a huge fan of it. I think they tried to make something different and possibly stand out? Honest opinion, I think it's make it or break it for others out there. Service was okay, not bad but not great, the environment isn't too great either, I would not want to sit down and eat in this place. Not a place, I would be eager to go back again.
Pretty busy but you can order online (pretty much have to). Smaller inside but a lot of very interesting (good) takes on the classic cheese steak. Fries are on point (also good). You can probably skip the huge line down the street and have a great cheese steak. Thanks Woodrow (whoever you are).
Staff are very sweet and helpful, small space (no tables were available when we walked in but within 15 minutes 2 cleared) but food came quickly and tasted good. Bit more expensive than I think it's worth, but it was a positive experience. The Egg Hash is a great sandwich for people who like breakfast at any time of day, and the chicken steak was really flavorful. French fries were fabulous, they're really powering this review haha. Bathroom is old but clean.
