Amazing!!!! My friend and I came here and both for the prix fixe menu. So worth it! Our server was super attentive and made our experience great with his recommendations! We both loved everything we ordered from the ricotta, squash soup, and short ribs. The cocktails were extremely tasty as well! I definitely want to come back again to try more.

I went here for my 4 year anniversary and the staff here made it so special. They answered all of our questions and even accommodated our request to sit at a table near the window as it has a great view. We did the prix fixe menu and had some cocktails. Each course was delicious and incredibly unique. Honestly for the quality of the food, the cocktails, and the experience I was shocked to see how reasonable our bill came out to be. Highly recommend !

Came here for a last minute dinner and was not disappointed. The green onion soup was amazing and steak tar tar was so fresh and seasoned perfectly. I had a smoked old fashioned and the presentation was so cool and you could smell it from across the room giving a fajita effect.

Tried Woodwind during restaurant week and definitely going back! I have been a local real estate broker around the neighborhood for 17 years. This restaurant will surprise you & leave you happy. We started off with the chickpea cheese fries, which are to die for. The squash and apple bisque was what we had next & it was amazing. Everything that came next was excellent! We finish the night off with the local farm Apple soufflé in the smoked chocolate pot de crème. Do both! The service we had was impeccable. Our server heard us talking about the Tom Hanks drink of champagne and Diet Coke. Our server, then surprised us with champagne and Diet Coke at our table so we could do our own taste test. We had a really great evening!

Went there after my mom's doctor's appointment. We both had burgers...hers off the Prix Fix which offered appetizer and dessert. We had a Bloody Mary and a margarita, they were good. They offered us cotton candy after the meal, that was a pleasant surprise. We will go again after her next visit.

I really enjoyed the soirée at Woodwind on the 18th floor of Northwestern's Lavin building. It's a bit of a hidden gem. I attended a fun gathering on their rooftop bar. First order... so hot out...open bar. My Beehive drink was great! It called for honey in it, but I could not have it due to allergies. Their wait staff quickly had one made just for me with simple syrup instead. Excellent drink! (Actually the waiter returned with a 2nd without me asking.) The inside of the restaurant is extremely nice. Looks like it would cost a fortune, but it does not. Look up Woodwind online. I have seen their ballroom area for events that also leads to a patio. Perfect place for a wedding, shower, or business function. And they serve Brunch, as well. (Be sure to check out their online menu.) With a view to die for, incredible wait staff, the hors d'oeuvres that I tried were incredible. My fav was the asparagus wrapped in prosciutto topped with balsamic. Mmmmmm, balsamic. My friends tried the deviled eggs and the little potato chip finger foods. No one was complaining. The nice part was, being sweltering 95° out, the terrace was on the east side in the total shade. I recommend you give it a look online and maybe visit it for your next brunch/lunch/dinner. I feel Woodwind is totally worth the visit!!

Dinner was good. Went for Thanksgiving. Had a prefix menu with 3 courses. We left so full we went so sleep as soon as we got home. Short ribs is a must. Ricotta and honey with with toast was a hit. Nice views and excellent wait staff. The. Endive drink was pretty good. First time going out for Thanksgiving and will do again after this experience.

Easiest Michelin restaurant in Chicago for reservation. Made the appointment on Friday and came for brunch on Saturday. Found actually reservations were not necessary at all. It is located on the 18th in an NW medicine building where hard to pass by with many empty tables. Courses came usually late, it took almost 2 hrs to finish the 3-course brunch. I had plenty of time to enjoy my drinks. However, I wanted something else to fill in between the courses. Everything was good before the desert. The chocolate was deathly sweet. However, I prepared for its American house style, but it made me a headache after a bit of it. How to describe it? When checking out, they gave me a marshmallow. I felt it wasn’t sweet at all.
