We wanted to get a table in the outside sitting area with a beautiful view, however it was a long wait so they provided us with sitting in the garden area which is not so great. If you are going there would recommend to go for the dining experience with a view. The food was good. (not one of the best) we ordered Shrimp appetizers, veg dumplings, Sushi rolls and chicken fried rice. The drunken dragon milk cocktail was really good and refreshing. It was our Anniversary so they treated us to a good strawberry cheesecake.

There are very few places that give you an experience like this. Everything about this restaurant is top notch. The view, the atmosphere, food, service, and ambience. It's all 5 stars! We decided to sot outside and enjoy the view, but there's also an amazing garden area for an even more tranquil dinner. Our server (Laura?) Was a delight. She shared all her favorite items and gave great recommendations. They have 3 separate kitchens so food came out at different times. Which was nice. Every thing was amazing. Great flavors and prepared to perfection. An absolute MUST when in the area! I mean just look at that view!

A great time for our anniversary (they even surprised us with anniversary champagne) thanks for looking at my special request! The views are marvelous and the ambience is amazing. We had a great table and Joey our waiter went above and beyond for us. Everything we had food wise was highly recommended by him including the Chef Val Special & Cowboy Steak. All the food was just done very well, our personal favorite was the baked Lobster sushi roll. With that being said nothing food wise knocked our socks off like we were hoping. Kudos to the bartender up front who made an impromptu “surprise” welcome drinks for us that was perfect start to our time and nice to walk around with. Thanks guys. We will be back.

Unforgettable experience and delicious food. We got seated earlier than our reservation time which was pleasantly unexpected. The calamari was fresh and crispy, the dragon roll was classic, but the spicy prawn noodles stole the show. The cocktails were great, although I can’t remember for the life of me what they were called. Our waitress was amazing! She was attentive, extremely helpful with good suggestions, and even gave us a small cheesecake and parfait as a birthday treat. She was 5-stars all around. The views are incredible. The restaurant overlooks a hill, and it’s themed to a traditional Japanese style. Parking for us was valet, so I can’t speak for self-parking. Great restaurant, and I would return again.

AMAZING AMAZING place!! Beautiful view, super friendly and attentive staff, delicious, high quality food!!! We reserved at 5 pm, but came early at 3, the bartender kindly showed us the restroom, and we got to walk around the garden. I suggest coming around that time because the sun is still out, people haven't shown up yet, and it is golden hour, so we got some good photos. Also, every day, a nice old man and his dog named "Shy Boy" sit next to the giant Buddha statue to watch the sunset. If you talk to them, you can feed the dog a cookie and look at his garden. There are many beatiful photo spots, indoor and outdoor, with cute doves and fish. The bathrooms are very clean and fancy. If you can't walk down the steps, a staff will lead you to an accessible bathroom. Indoors, you can walk around the garden, but it isn't well lit at night, so I suggest going in for lunch. However, overall, outdoors is much prettier, especially at night. If it is cold, they have heaters. We went for our anniversary, and they prepared a special champagne toast and cheesecake with a sparkler. Our food came out really fast and our waiter was very nice. We got food to go as well that is delicious. Highly recommend, and we'll definitely come back!

Fantastic dinner with a wonderful ambiance and great drinks! We had reservations for a Monday dinner and were surprised to see how crowded it was when we arrived. We requested seating by their garden, which we loved since we got to be in one of their perimeter tables overlooking it and see the torches lit. The outdoor seating has a good view, but you can very easily see the view at the restaurant entrance and by going down the stairs where they have some landscaped areas you can walk through. We both ordered the garlic noodles and shared the silk whisperer and drunken dragon's milk. The noodles were nicely flavored and although the portion looked small were filling enough for a meal. The silk whisperer was very sweet on the first sip, but luckily they used a dry sparkling rose for a dry finish. The dragon's milk was my favorite with a nice foamy coconut flavor! My only qualm was their required $15 + tip valet parking, though I guess that's the price you pay for being able to dine on a hilltop overlooking LA in a residential neighborhood.

Excellent food. Definitely a must to try and experience. Beautiful location and scenery. Waitress Ocean was amazing at doing her job and highly recommended. Well deserved tip. This is no cheap place by any means but definitely worth it. Food flavors exploded inside the mouth as different taste palettes activated simultaneously. Will come back no doubt next time we arrive to LA. Simply beautiful and elegant.

Really wanted to love this place - there is a lot of potential for an amazing experience (and I’m sure people have great ones), but it just wasn’t it for us. Let me start by saying that the views, ambiance, and drinks are exceptional. Beyond that, I’d hesitate to recommend. Our server was trying his best but had far too many tables to adequately run. One of the rolls we ordered took about 45 minutes to come out, much after everything else (happened to the table behind us too). When it did arrive, it had an exceptionally fishy taste - something you don’t want in sushi. The rest of the food was nothing to write home about - you will certainly find higher quality sushi in the area with a bit of research. Id end with saying that I appreciate that we didn’t have reservations and were seated as a party of 2 in about 25 minutes, as we were in the area spontaneously for my birthday. If you’re looking for an awesome view and drinks, highly recommend. If you’re looking for exceptional food and service, I’d recommend you keep looking.
