Cajun eats in cafeterialike digs. Cafeteria-style location dishing out Louisiana-style cooking to lunchtime crowds.
Great little find. I had never been there and the kitchen staff explained what everything was to me. I also had a wonderful conversation with their mother who happens to also work there. Good food at a great price with a wonderful staff. The owner was nice to.
Came in here because it's close to my job and I fell in love! I had a bowl of gumbo and it was just like I was in Louisiana. Super hardy and flavorful not to mention the staff was extremely friendly and accommodating. It had such a homey comfortable feel to it! 10/10 would recommend to a friend.
Located on corner of Pease St. I was excited they had parking until I was greeted by Marty & took my first bite. I felt like in was in Louisiana eating moms cooking ? & listening ? to Cajun tunes. The entire time holding back the sniffles from a great seasoned meal (black-eyed peas, rice, green beans & corn) folks from Louisiana could relate & appreciate. It was so good I ordered food for ? dinner.
I am so disappointed. I looked this place up and was excited about eating there. In town making a delivery, I like to explore and see new things especially the food. I ordered the fried catfish with black eyed peas, corn bread, to go. My fault for not checking my order. No sides! Just catfish & fries. I won't be back and won't recommend.
Ordered from Uber Eats. The black eyed peas were good but ordered crab claw and shrimp gumbo there was not one piece of crab in the gumbo. The taste was average it was gritty like bones or shell was left behind in it. I don't know if I got the bottom of the pot from ordering at the end of the day but I was very displeased. Won't return.
Their food is just amazing!! And I sort of love the cafeteria style they have over there when it's not too crowded.
I love their food! Their red beans and rice were awesome, and the chicken & sausage gumbo is really good too. I met the owner several years ago and he seems to be pretty down-to-earth. He told me he had another Zydeco's (in Katy, I think) but I'm guessing that location is closed down since I don't see another one there.
This was my first time here. The food was great. The surrounding area is pretty much a food desert so it was nice to find a sit down restaurant. I had the catfish, rice, red beans, peas, and jalapeno cornbread. Very filling. The place has that nice old time diner feel to it which I appreciated. It is a buffet style of ordering and it was head and shoulders above most other establishments. I will definitely eat here again as I need to get that bread pudding! Parking was very generous. I was there on Monday past around noontime.
