A Message From Me to You: Personal Letter and Gift Ideas

Merry Christmas!

“It’s that wonderful time of year.” Or even better: it’s that wonderful day. I remember how my mother used to step outside and shout, “happy! happy! happy! happy!”—her cheerful way of wishing the neighbors a Merry Christmas. I wonder if she still does that.

I wanted to leave a short, heartfelt note about this widely celebrated day. Christmas…

Friend, Christmas isn’t primarily about Santa, parties, gifts, endless cooking, shopping, or the exhaustion that follows a packed schedule. When the season becomes only a list of tasks and events, it’s easy to feel overwhelmed—and an overwhelmed schedule often leaves the soul undernourished.

At its heart, Christmas is about Jesus the Christ. It’s a time to reflect on and appreciate the One who left His glory and entered our broken world for you.

Christmas is the most beautiful love story: the story of how God loves us so deeply that He sent His only Son to save us from sin. In the midst of seasonal busyness, don’t focus solely on checking off your to-do list. Instead, make space to fall in love with Christ—the lover of your soul.

I pray that we will recognize how deeply He loves us, accept that love, and live our lives for Him.

Let me ask you a few important questions: Do you have a personal relationship with the Lord? If you were to die today, are you certain you would spend eternity with Him? Would it be heaven or hell?

If you’re unsure about the answers, I encourage you to invite Christ into your life. A relationship with God is the most important thing a person can have. It’s the foundation of my life and the treasure I value above all else.

Nothing else can truly fill God’s place in your heart. If you feel a persistent sense of something missing, that longing may be the call to a deeper relationship with Him. You can turn to Him today—don’t postpone the decision to live for God. He waits with open arms.

All it takes is to speak to Him honestly, as you would to a friend. Invite Him into your life and give Him your “yes.” That may be the best yes you ever make. Then nurture that commitment by reading His Word daily and letting it shape the way you live.

Christmas reminds us that Christ came into the world to enter our lives. As the world celebrates today, my prayer is that Christ will be at the center of your Christmas.

Be blessed.
