1. Today in my Facebook food group, I launched a challenge celebrating the many fast foods enjoyed in Cameroon. To kick things off, I shared the photo above of bread paired with Accra Beans (also known as Akara), a popular street food in parts of Cameroon. I added lettuce, onion, and tomato to give it a fresh twist. I call it “Accra Beans redefined” and it’s absolutely delicious—eat with your eyes.
2. America goes to the polls tomorrow. Will it be Mr. Trump or Mrs. Clinton? I’m eager to see the results and the conversation that follows.
3. It’s showtime! Mr. N and I recorded a trailer for my YouTube cooking show. Once I finish editing, I’ll publish it on my YouTube channel and share it on Facebook. The kind of work that goes into a single video is incredible. I almost considered leaving the channel, but my love for cooking keeps pulling me back. I can’t resist being in front of the camera to cook, inspire—and eat—because I truly love food.

4. God is real. In my last post for my sweet single sisters, I promised to write about how to “wait” for your husband. This morning’s devotional and our church message both focused on waiting on God, which felt like a clear confirmation that this topic is timely and needed. God’s kindness is evident in how He guides this series. The post will go up Tuesday, November 8th (tomorrow for me, today for some of you), so please look out for it and let’s learn together.
5. Continuing the series: a cherished, supportive, and faith-filled reader suggested I offer Christian-based online counseling for readers who want guidance anonymously. I don’t have all the answers, but with the wisdom of the Holy Spirit—and with input from fellow readers—I believe we can help those with pressing questions. If you have a question you’d like discussed anonymously, email it to [email protected]. Your question and my response may be published on the blog so the community can contribute compassionately and constructively.
6. Nature has been breathtaking lately. The leaves have shifted from green to deep reds and oranges—absolutely stunning. I took these photos during a trip to the playground with the girls; the park sits beside a lake, which you can see in the background.

7. Try a “done” list instead of a “to-do” list. I read that recording what you’ve completed can lift your spirits more than staring at an unfinished to-do list—and it has truly changed my perspective. I tend to focus on what’s left to do and overlook everything I accomplish, which can be discouraging. Taking a moment to acknowledge what I’ve already finished gives me energy to do more. I often forget how much I actually do every day because I’m always chasing “more, more, more.” Focusing only on endless tasks makes me feel inadequate.
For example, it would be easy right now to worry about photos that still need editing or appointments that haven’t been scheduled. Instead, I’m choosing to celebrate what I completed today:
– Had a good night’s rest
– Prayed and studied God’s Word
– Completed an intense homeschooling session with my kids
– Shared a blog post on Facebook
– Called my mom and dad—love those people!
– Ate (very important!)
– And I’m writing this blog post right now, which feels like a big achievement
What does your “done” list look like today? Please share in the comments. Thanks for letting me share—keep being your wonderfully sweet selves. ♥
