My parenting journey began on January 18, 2011 at 7:05 am when my first daughter was born. Since then I’ve welcomed two more children and navigated countless diaper changes, spills, and late nights—and I wouldn’t trade it for the world.
It’s birthday season in our home. The celebrations start in October with my birthday, continue in November for our second daughter, and in January we celebrate both our eldest and youngest. The girls are now 6, 4, and 2, and the house is full of energy and laughter.
I decided to take new photos of the girls so we’ll always have a record of how they looked at this stage of life.
Here is our eldest, Neriah. She’s 6 now, and I’m so grateful for her every day. Neriah is more than a blessing—she’s compassionate, mature beyond her years, and an incredible big sister. When I was unwell recently she even tried to homeschool her siblings, which melted my heart.

This is our second daughter, Salma, who is 4. Salma has a tender heart and will drop everything to comfort a sibling. She loves helping me in the kitchen and I often call her my little mirror—though Mr N might disagree.

And here’s our youngest, Yohanna—Yoyo—who is 2. She’s a bundle of sunshine, filling our home with laughter and song. Right now she’s at such a charming age; she sings more than she talks and brings so much joy into our days.

I’m thankful for all the years we’ve shared so far and I pray for many more happy, healthy years ahead.

Now that the girls are getting older, I sometimes find myself missing the newborn stage. Maybe we’ll consider expanding our family—only time will tell.
Wishing you a blessed week!
