Watermelon lemonade is a wonderfully refreshing and simple drink you can make at home. With just three main ingredients—watermelon, lemon juice, and sugar—you’ll get a sweet, slightly tangy beverage that’s perfect for warm days or casual entertaining.

This lemonade pairs beautifully with a crunchy cookie. Try it with Nonni’s Limone Biscotti for a delightful contrast of bright citrus and crisp texture.

I love biscotti, and Nonni’s Limone Biscotti is especially good—crisp, lemony, and finished with a light white icing. The prepackaged portion packs also make them convenient for serving and portion control.

HOW TO MAKE WATERMELON LEMONADE
1. Puree cubed watermelon until smooth, then strain it through a fine-mesh sieve to remove pulp and seeds.
2. Squeeze fresh lemons for juice. Fresh lemon juice gives the best flavor, but bottled lemon juice will work in a pinch.
3. In a jar, combine the watermelon puree, lemon juice, sugar, and water. Stir until the sugar dissolves. Taste and adjust sweetness, tartness, or dilution as needed. Chill before serving or pour over ice immediately.

VARIATIONS TO WATERMELON LEMONADE
1. Watermelon Strawberry Lemonade: Replace one cup of the cubed watermelon with one cup of strawberries. Puree both together and proceed with the recipe.
2. Watermelon Limeade: Substitute lime juice for the lemon juice for a different citrus profile.
3. Mint garnish: Add fresh mint leaves for aroma and a visually appealing finish.
